How to Use On‑Chain Swaps on Swapy

On‑chain swaps let you trade tokens directly on supported blockchains using Swapy’s aggregated liquidity. Your transactions are executed as standard on‑chain operations, visible on public explorers, but with the convenience of multi‑DEX aggregation and simple routing in one interface.

Step 1: Open the On‑Chain Swap Page

  1. Go to Swapy and navigate to the “Swap” or “On‑Chain Swaps” section.

  2. If you use a multi‑mode interface, select “On‑Chain Swap”.

This mode creates a transparent, on‑chain swap between your connected wallet and the liquidity being used.

Step 2: Choose Your Tokens and Chain

  1. In the From field, select the token you want to spend (for example, ETH, USDC, or SOL).

  2. In the To field, choose the token you want to receive (for example, WBTC, USDT, or another ERC‑20 / native token).

  3. Make sure the correct network is selected (for example, Ethereum, Arbitrum, Polygon, Solana, etc.).

Swapy will instantly show available routes from multiple DEXes and liquidity pools, often highlighting the best price and fee.

Step 3: Enter the Amount and Review the Quote

  1. Type the amount you want to swap in the From box.

    • The To amount will update automatically.

    • You may see estimated slippage, network fee, and price impact.

  2. Choose Fixed output (lock the amount you want to receive) or Market price (accept the best available rate, which may change slightly).

  3. Review the summary:

    • Swap direction (e.g., ETH → USDC).

    • Selected route or pool.

    • Expected output, fees, and slippage tolerance.

If something looks unexpected, adjust the amount or select a different route before continuing.

Step 4: Connect Your Wallet and Confirm the Swap

  1. Click “Connect Wallet” if you haven’t already (for example, MetaMask, Phantom, WalletConnect, etc.).

  2. Once connected, click “Swap” or “Confirm Swap”.

  3. Your wallet will pop up with a transaction preview:

    • Token being spent.

    • Minimum amount expected to receive (after slippage).

    • Gas / network fee.

  4. Confirm the transaction in your wallet to send it to the blockchain.

The swap is now waiting for on‑chain confirmation.

Step 5: Track and Verify the Transaction

  1. After confirmation, Swapy will show:

    • Transaction status (e.g., “Pending”, “Confirmed”, “Completed”).

    • Transaction ID (hash).

  2. You can:

    • Open the transaction in a block explorer (e.g., Etherscan, Arbiscan, Solana Explorer) by clicking the link or copying the hash.

    • Check your wallet balance to confirm the new tokens have arrived.

If the tokens do not arrive within a reasonable time, compare the transaction hash and address in the explorer and your Swapy order details, then contact our support if needed.

Tips for Using On‑Chain Swaps

  • Always double‑check the receiving wallet and network before confirming; wrong network = potentially lost funds.

  • Adjust slippage carefully:

    • Too low: the swap may fail.

    • Too high: you may get a worse price.

  • Wait for final confirmation on the blockchain before treating the swap as complete, especially on congested networks.

  • Compare routes when multiple options appear; sometimes one route gives a better price despite a slightly higher fee.
